1. Prepare Blank, Standard, Control & Test

Drag the pipette by its body. Release its pointed tip over a bottle to aspirate; release it over a tube opening to dispense. Use Change tip between sources. Select a tube by clicking it to move it to Dry Bath.

Click a tube to select it, then Delete Selected Tube to discard it. Add Tube restores a missing tube. Removing a tube clears its reagents, bath slot and recorded OD. All four types are required to finish the assay.

Add 1000 µL Uricase/POD Working Reagent into all four tubes.

2. Place Tubes in Dry Bath & Set Temperature

Click a prepared tube above, then click an empty Dry Bath slot below. Load all four tubes and set the temperature/time before starting.

♨ DIGITAL DRY BATH

TEMP: -- °C | READY

Awaiting all four tubes.

🔬 DIGITAL COLORIMETER

520 nm | No cuvette

Incubate first. Blank zeroing is required before other readings.

3. Record Optical Density (OD) in Laboratory Notebook

Read each tube in the colorimeter. The displayed OD is entered automatically into the matching notebook field below. You can still edit the value for teaching/practice if needed.

4. Calculate Uric Acid & Evaluate Quality Control

Enter the four OD values in Section 3, then click Calculate Result. Formula: (Sample OD − Blank OD) ÷ (Standard OD − Blank OD) × Standard concentration.

Calculation details will appear here.

Teaching QC: assigned mean 5 mg/dL; acceptable range 4.2–5.8 mg/dL. Control must pass before release of simulated patient result.
